Our journey starts in Turin, the capital of Piedmont region and first capital of Italy, a vibrant city with remarkable architectural attractions and wonderful cuisine. Once arrived, we will be transferred to our destination, the Maira Valley. Situated in south western Piedmont on the border to France, it is a hiker’s paradise: its remote location and yet to be explored wonders make it the perfect place to experience the true beauty of the Alps, with their traditions and endless paths.

Take a picturesque hike to reach the village of San Martino inferiore (1.5 hours). You can drive to the village to have a stroll around, or a rest. Explore the village and meet some locals. Our destination for the night is known around the world as a unique and loved place for walkers and mountain lovers.

Your hosted accommodation is in the completely renovated village. An incredible location with facilities for relaxing, yoga, an art gallery, and a wonderful dinning room and menu of local products. May is the month of wild flowers in the valley fields.

DISCOVER ELVA

Breakfast at the Agriturismo.
A Sherpa bus will transfer your luggage. We will hike to Elva, and enjoy a picnic lunch on the way. Visit the old villages, museo dei Caviè, Cappella di Santa Maria Assunta with frescos of Hans Clemer.

Arrive in Elva for those who want a another challenge, you have the option to start early on a trek and discover new horizons, such as the trek from Camoscere lake to the Summit of Monte Chersogno.

Dinner a tribute to local specialties or the area.

Overnight in Locanda Occitana.

A SHIFT IN PERSPECTIVE

Trekking from Elva to San Michele di Prazzo a pleasant hike among the larche trees and a beautiful view to Monte Chersogno.

After lunch, transfer by minivan to Marmora, on the other side of the Valley
Overnight in a alpine resort located near Marmora

Enjoy stunning views with special comforts such as sauna and outdoor hydromassage in an oak barrel tub.
